Prometey finish the job, book first trip to the Final Four

Prometey used strong first half to beat Kibirkštis MRU 71-58 on Monday, March 15, at Kamianske Sports Palace. Ukraine Superleague leader won the series 158-117 to book a ticket to the Final Four.

 

Players of the game

A new day, the same scoring leader. Ke`shunan James scored 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field.

Murray State standout added six rebounds and three steals.

Oksana Mollova showed another strong performance, finishing with 15 points, including 5-of-7 effort inside the three point line.

Bernice Mosby had impressive stat line – 12 points, nine rebounds and five steals for a tied game high efficiency rating of 19.

Livija Sakevičiūte did her best for Kibirkštis. She scored eight points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists for a efficiency rating of 19.

Jacqueline Luna-Castro posted 10 points and nine rebounds, while Justina Miknaite had nine points and 10 rebounds.

 

Key stats

Prometey won the first half 50-32 to extend the aggregate lead up to 46 points 137-91.

The Fire Starters scored more points on fast breaks (20-4) and off turnovers (30-10).

Kibirkštis MRU outrebounded the hosts 47-37 but turned the ball over 27 times.

The Sparks will continue their season in the Lithuanian finals against Neptunas Klaipeda.
