Prometey earn maiden trophy, beat Berdiansk in Ukraine Cup final

Kamianske Prometey dominated the Ukraine Cup final against Chayka Berdiansk 112-74 to celebrate the first trophy in club`s history on Sunday, March 7, at the home court.

The Final Eight tournament took place on March 3-7.

Prometey started the tournament with a 100-68 win over Rivne on Thursday, March 4, followed by a 97-61 success against Kyiv Basket on Friday night.

The Firestarters averaged 103 points per game and won the final against Berdiansk with a 38 point margin.

Ke`shunan James scored 29 points for the winners. Murray State graduate earned the MVP trophy.

Baylor star Bernice Mosby had 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Three more players finished in double figures. Oksana Mollova and Ulyana Datsko posted 12 points each, while Veronika Liubinets scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Srdjan Radulovic coached Berdiansk team until 2021. Recently he took the reins of Prometey and Ukraine national team. Radulovic was assisted by Viktoria Bolshakova.
