SBŠ Ostrava posted a memorable 94-64 win over Liepāja/LSSS to secure its second consecutive trip to the playoffs on Tuesday, February 16, at Liepāja Olympic center.
The long trip to the Western Latvia was well worth it – Iveta Raškova`s team registered an important win and sealed a Top 4 finish in Group A.

Nikolina Zubac led all scorers with 19 points. Bosnian international grabbed six rebounds also.
Ema Mihaljevicova scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds in just 22 minutes of action. Eventually she was fouled out but still managed to earn a highest efficiency rating of 22.
Stella Tarkovicova had 18 points and nine rebounds.
Ostrava captain Tereza Motycakova posted 17 points and six assists.
Drexel graduate Jamila Thompson chipped in with nine points and five assists.
Rūta Stiprā answered with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Santa Baltkojiene (Okockyte) stepped on the floor after almost one year break and maternity leave.
Lithuanian point guard scored all 13 of her points in the first half. She added five assists and seven forced fouls.
Devon Brookshire (St. Mary`s at California) scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds in her first game with Liepāja.
Key stats
Virus hit Liepāja missed five players, including Kristīna Petermane, Elvija Veršele, Katrīna Trankale, Līna Loceniece and Daniela Grigorjeva. Eva Indriķe is out for the season.
Ostrava forced 16 fouls and earned 20 free throws for a 43-40 lead at the half.
Baltkojiene and Stiprā combined for a 24 points in the first half to stay in the race.
Liepāja was hit by the foul trouble too. Madara Šmite and Ketija Vihmane were fouled out in the second half, leaving their team with seven players, including a couple of 14 year olds.
Ostrava scored 32 points in fast breaks, compared to 12 for Liepāja.
Renomia ŽBL team won the second half 51-24.
