Mollova, Mosby and James outscore Kibirkštis

Prometey starters scored 78 points to post a 87-59 win over Kibirkštis MRU on Sunday, March 14, at Kamianske Sports palace. The second quarterfinal game will be played tomorrow at 17:00.

Keshunan James led all scorers with 25 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field.

Murray State standout grabbed 12 rebounds and stole the ball five times for a game high efficiency rating of 33.

Bernice Mosby also posted a double-double, finishing with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Baylor graduate forced five fouls for a efficiency rating of 30.

Oksana Mollova also stole the ball five times and scored 14 points.

Olha Dubrovina added nine points and seven assists.

Vita Horobets had six points, while Viktoriia Kondus gave a spark from the bench and scored five points.

Livija Sakevičiūte replied with 14 points and three steals before she was fouled out.

Gabriela Sulske had 11 points.

 

Key stats

Prometey registered 16 steals and forced 25 turnovers, compared to seven steals and 14 forced turnovers for Kibirkštis.

The Fire Starters scored 33 points off turnovers. The Sparks – 6.

Both teams were tied in the battle of rebounds (39-39, offensive rebounds 11-11) and assists (22-22).

Prometey dominated in fast breaks (19-2) and destroyed the opponents in the second half (49-25).

Kibirkštis struggled from the three point line, connecting just 1-of-17 attempted shots.
